Nintendo recycling too many assets?

"The unreleased Gamecube Kirby looked to be running on the Super Smash Bros. Melee engine. Most of the character art in Super Paper Mario Iooks a whole lot like that of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and we don’t think that’s just consistency in style."

The question is, are we seeing Nintendo simply porting their games from one platform to the next. For instance, Trauma Center for the Nintendo Wii is said to be "almost exactly" like that of the Nintendo DS brand game.

A few GBA games, like Phoenix Wright can be found on the DS, without very much stylus action.

What have the games added? A few levels here and there (if any) and additional storyline. However, is that worth the full price of the game on another system?

There are Wii games, like Elebits that is unique and different. This is not a first-party title, but that of Konami and they've not re-hashed their titles (yet).

Is Nintendo being lazy or are they just giving gamers what they want? The Wii is a hot item and nobody seems to be really complaining about the rehashes. The same can be said for the DS, which sells like hot cakes.

If the games ports were really that bad gamers would speak with their wallet and not buy them, right?
